In addition to the standard casting, a Beginner Set version was released in 2005 with
a partial hex base attached.
Beginner set casting
This 'Mech is painted in the white and blue pattern of the 4th Marik Militia.
This is the only MM unit that does not use the traditional purple base.
This mini appears on page 14 of the Painting and Tactics Guide from the Classic Battletech Introductory Box Set.
It also appears on page 15 of the Introductory Rulebook from the
Classic Battletech Introductory Box Set.
STATUS:
Completed, 4/2005.
Sold 8/2008.
Original casting
I used this mech to help develop the paint scheme for the Umayyad 1st Corps
(which is now a canon scheme featured on CamoSpecs Online). The official
scheme reads: The Mechwarriors of the 1st Corps paint their machines in a bright yellow with teal trim. Flowing patterns of purples or blues are often added.
The scheme was inspired by the dress of the Spanish Moors from the 13th century AD.
STATUS:
Custom job, delivered 12/2004.
"Sarge"
Original casting
The Whitworth is a good medium fire-support mech that also has close-in
capability. As a result, it is often used as a command mech for medium
and light lances. This mini has been painted in a Gray Death Legoin
paint scheme.
