Royal Guard - Winglets v2.0 Here is my second version of the Royal Guard Interceptors. I changed the white piece at the base of the winglets, beveling the edges and scribing some detail onto it. I did these as a set of two. STATUS: First completed 05/2014. |

Royal Guard - Winglets v1.0 Since FF declined to make the mini with the winglets that it's supposed to have, I decided to try out the modification using plasticard. It fits the bill and is as sturdy as the original material. I based the size and position on some of the best reference art the internet has to offer. The attachment detail I added to the base of the winglets is simple yet effective, though later I'll try to refine that detail somewhat. STATUS: First completed 04/2014. |

Royal Guard - No Winglets I had a great idea to do a red TIE Interceptor, and as with the Saber Squadron one, FF announced that they would produce one about a week after I finished. The red paint work is a little more smooth and shaded on mine. After I did this, it occurred to me that I should go ahead and modify one to have the winglets that are present in the literature... Baron Fel / Saber Squadron This miniature has been lightly repainted with the addition of the red stripes seen in the card art for Baron Fel and Saber Squadron, also known as the 181st Imperial Fighter Group. A few weeks after I did this, FF announced the Imperial Aces pack with a factory-painted version of this. Their lines are slightly more crisp than mine, but I think I got the width more accurate. STATUS: First completed 09/2013. |
